**What exactly does the camera record?**
A first-person view of the hands at work, angled 45 degrees down. It records only while the employee starts a session — no audio surveillance, no always-on capture.

**Does it slow down the work?**
No. The mount is hands-free and the camera runs on its own. Employees do the same tasks the same way; footage uploads automatically through the app.

**What does it cost?**
Nothing. Hub provides the hardware, onboarding, dashboard and operational support. There is no fee at any point.

**How does payment work?**
Your business is paid per submitted and approved hour, at US$5–10 per hour depending on the region. Hours are attributed via your partner code and visible in the dashboard.

**How do withdrawals work?**
Earnings accrue in your partner dashboard. You can track balances live and withdraw whenever you want.

**Who owns the footage?**
The footage is licensed to Hub and used exclusively to train AI and robotics models. It is never used for surveillance, marketing or performance monitoring.

**Do employees need to consent?**
Yes. Every contributor signs a consent form during onboarding, and participation is voluntary. Each business decides how to share earnings with its team.

**What about privacy and compliance?**
Consent-first onboarding, human QA on every clip, and sensitive or off-task content is excluded during curation. Terms are covered in the partner agreement.

**What if footage gets rejected?**
There is no automatic rejection. The dashboard flags issues early — low light, obstructed camera, hands out of frame — and Hub works with you to fix them.

**How does onboarding happen?**
After the call and agreement, a Hub team delivers the recording devices and trains your employees on-site. The whole setup takes less than one hour.

**Is there a minimum volume or commitment?**
No fixed minimum to start. Partners who scale quickly with consistent quality unlock scale incentives.

**Which tasks qualify?**
Real manual tasks done standing, with hands visible — prep, assembly, cleaning, repair, picking, finishing. Volume and consistency matter more than a perfect mix.

### Getting started

Three steps from sign-up to your first payout:

This is where most questions land, so it's first.

### How and when do I get paid?
Earnings from approved recordings are credited to your balance automatically. You can cash out any day: choose PIX for an instant transfer in BRL, bank transfer via Dots (usually 1–3 business days, in Brazil and abroad), or USDC on Base. Some cash-outs are held for a standard security review, usually under one business day; you are notified when it is sent.

### How do I add or change my payout method?
Go to Settings → Payouts at ai.hub.xyz/settings. Add or pick a PIX key, a bank account, or a wallet address, confirm it, and save. Changing a wallet requires your password and a 6-digit email code, and USDC payouts pause for 24 hours afterwards for your security. Already-sent payouts can't be redirected.
The address must be EVM-compatible (starts with 0x) and supported on the Base network. Smart contract wallets are fine as long as they can receive USDC on Base.
### Do I need to verify my identity (KYC)?
KYC is optional for most contributors. We only require it when your cumulative earnings cross a regulatory threshold, or for certain high-value tasks that have client-specific verification requirements.
When verification is needed, we use Didit, a third-party KYC provider. Hub doesn't store your ID documents — only the verified status. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
### What does the reliability score mean?
Every contributor has a reliability score that reflects the quality and consistency of your submissions over time. It's computed from acceptance rate, submission completeness, follow-through on started tasks, and reviewer feedback.
A higher score unlocks access to higher-paying tasks and reduces review turnaround. There's nothing to actively manage — submit good work consistently and the score takes care of itself.
### I didn't receive my payout — what should I do?
First, check Settings → Earnings to confirm the cash-out was issued and whether it is under review. PIX usually arrives within minutes, bank transfers within 1–3 business days, USDC on Base within a few minutes of being sent.
If it shows as sent but hasn't arrived after those windows, email support@hub.xyz with the date, your contributor email and the PIX key, account or wallet address you expected it to land at.

### How do I earn?
You earn by completing data-collection tasks on the platform: egocentric (first-person) video captures, image annotation, audio recordings, and similar. Each task lists the expected output, time, environment, equipment, and pay.
Once you submit, our reviewers check that it meets the task brief and quality bar. Accepted submissions credit your earnings balance immediately.
### Why was my upload rejected?
Common reasons:
- Quality — out-of-focus, poor lighting, unstable framing, audio too quiet or noisy.
- Brief mismatch — wrong environment, wrong action, missing key steps requested by the task.
- Privacy issues — identifying information of non-consenting bystanders, license plates, addresses, screens with personal data.
- Duplicates — substantially the same capture as a prior submission.
Rejected uploads include a short reason; use it to course-correct on the next take. If you think a rejection was a mistake, reply with the submission ID and we'll review.
### What equipment do I need for egocentric tasks?
The baseline is a modern smartphone with a stable camera, enough storage for the requested clip lengths (a few minutes per task), and good ambient lighting.
Some egocentric tasks specifically request a head-mounted camera for true hands-free POV — those tasks call it out in the brief and usually pay more. Any chest or head-rig that produces a stable first-person view works.
### How long does review take?
Most submissions are reviewed within 24–72 hours. Higher-reliability contributors get faster review. Time-sensitive or specialised tasks can sometimes take longer if a domain reviewer is required — the task brief will say so if that's the case.

### Privacy & data

### What happens to my uploads?
Uploads are reviewed, annotated, and curated into datasets that we license to enterprise clients. Each recording can go out with its sensor readings, including the GPS location your phone captured while you recorded, and with demographic metadata (age range, gender, language, country, dominant hand), linked to a pseudonymous code instead of your name or contact details. We do not add your name, email, wallet, IP address or ID documents to those datasets. Recordings and their location and demographic data may still identify you or other people.

### Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email privacy@hub.xyz. We delete account information within 30 days. Uploads that already shipped in datasets to enterprise clients can't be retracted from those clients' copies, but future use stops.
### Is my data safe?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted on a need-to-know basis, and we run regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we take our role as custodian of contributor data seriously. The Privacy Policy lays out the specifics.

### Pay

- Unit: Approved hour of recording. A recorded hour is not an approved hour: only footage that passes review is paid.
- Base rate at home: US$5 per approved hour recording household tasks.
- Base rate at work: US$6 per approved hour recording tasks at your job.
- Boosts: Boosted tasks and periods pay up to US$8–9 per approved hour. The current boost and its end date are shown in the app; your rate is locked when you record.
- Amounts in BRL: The app shows Brazilian users amounts at a fixed 5 BRL per USD (R$25 at home, R$30 at work, up to R$40–45 with a boost). A display convention, not a separate rate.
- Withdrawals: Any day of the week. PIX (instant, BRL), bank transfer via Dots (https://dots.dev) (1–3 business days, in Brazil and abroad) or USDC on the Base network. No fees. Minimum shown in the app.

Anyone can join, start recording and earning.

- Location: Recordings are accepted from the Americas; record from where you really are. VPNs or spoofed locations lead to a ban.
- Age: 18 or over.
- Accounts: One account per person. When identity verification is required it is handled by Didit (https://didit.me); Hub keeps only the verified status, never your documents.
- Catalogs: Home (residential tasks) and Work (tasks at your job, with permission from whoever is responsible for the premises).
